DON'T FORGET THE ONE WHO GAVE BIRTH TO YOU

She spent 9 months of you kicking her around, at least 10 years or more, cleaning up your crap (2 years literally!) and she did it all with unconditional love. With Mother's Day around the corner, why don't you....no scratch that. Please show your mother how much you love and appreciate her.

Here are some great suggestions from My Mother's Day Blog.

Flowers -Flowers are an essential part of Mother’s Day. It doesn’t matter whether you pick wildflowers, grow flowers yourself, or buy them. Flowers will make your mom feel special on Mother’s Day. Consider having flowers delivered. It’s an easy and convenient way to make mom happy. Plus the flowers will be delivered on Friday or Saturday before Mother’s Day - which makes Mom feel special all weekend long!

Jewelry - Mom’s love jewelry. Especially when a piece of jewelry comes with sentimental value, which anything her family gives her on Mother’s Day will. Jewelry doesn’t have to break the bank, but if your budget is more flexible, consider the classic gift of diamonds.

Spa Treatments - There’s nothing mom’s love and deserve more than being pampered. Plan a spa day with mom, or give her a gift certificate to a spa near her. If a spa day is out of your price range you may want to think about buying a home spa item. A massaging bath pillow, a home electrolysis system, and a detoxifying foot spa. With a little research you can find the perfect home spa item for your mom. Your wallet doesn’t have to suffer to give mom some pampering and she will feel refreshed, and absolutely love it.

Perfume - I’ve never met a mom that doesn’t love perfume. The link between smell and memories is so strong that it can even trigger memories that are long forgotten. My mom wore Chanel No5 and nothing makes me think of her faster than that scent. Perfumes are timeless, and a gift your mom will love.

Clothing/Snugglies - When in doubt you can always count on mom’s girly side. From a new outfit to a snugly warm blanket, you just can’t go wrong. For shopping ideas think of mom’s personality, her likes, and dislikes. Is mom always cold in the car how about a thoughtful heated blanket. Is mom into high fashion? How about couture clothing.

Home & Garden - Many moms would prefer to receive plants & trees to a bouquet of flowers. If your mom loves working in her yard, then help make her hobby more fun. Give her a beautiful fountain, or any number of garden accents such as garden bridges, engraved garden rocks, or even one of the world famous Laaf figurines.

Artwork - Mom’s love things in frames. A framed family portrait or even an old childhood photo of you and mom can be turned into a heart-warming photo keepsake. You can even have photos enlarged and framed. Is Mom an art buff? How about a beautiful print of classic paintings or modern paintings.

Send Love every Month - Not everyone has the luxury of being able to be with mom on Mother’s Day. Although there’s no substitute for having you around, monthly gifts like wines, chocolates, coffees, fruits and flowers will be a welcomed reminder that you love her and are thinking of her.

Designer Handbags - A quality handbag she can be proud of, will serve her well for years to come. Knowing you gave it to her will make it even more special. Handbags are one of the many girly items that moms would love to have but won’t buy for themselves. Especially, couture handbags like COACH, Prada, Fendi, Gucci, Burberry, Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana, just to name a few. Then there are the moms who love their pets and the only handbag for them are the dog & cat handbags. Dog & cat lover moms will love these.

Electronics - Dad is not the only one into gadgets. Moms love them too! Nearly every mom would value a digital camera to capture the warmest moments in her life. Not to mention the mind numbing tutorial every child is required to give their mom with these types of gifts.

If these Mother’s Day gift ideas don't help and your still stuck on what to get, remember, you know your mom best. Take her unique qualities into consideration whenever you decide on a gift. A personal touch to gift giving always generates the most happiness.

Happy Mother's Day!
